Midterms -- 2022
Midterms, WSJ, November 22, 2021 -- wow, The WSJ really missed it .... "the three I's that could dominate the 2022 midterm elections:
- inflation
- immigration
- identity politics
Well, the third "I" was correct: identity politics and Trump was the big loser.
Texas didn't vote on the immigration issue, and no state across the country voted on inflation.
If any issue that dominated it was Trump and identify politics, the US Supreme Court decision to turnover Roe vs Wade.

- I had a post about this not too long ago;
- now, add a new contender; from Powerline.
- it looks like Pete Buttigieg could end up as strongest, most visible member of Biden's cabinet;
The three I's that will dominate mid-term elections, from The WSJ:
- inflation
- immigration
- identity politics

Miscellaneous
November 24, 2021: my support for Trump officially ends today. He started "losing me" after January 20, 2021. Many reasons. Tipping point: it's being reported that Trump is meeting with Rittenhouse. As I told the reader who sent me the story: complete waste of time. Stunts like this will diminish his gravitas. This is worse than Obama's beer summit with a cop and a professor. World leaders simply don't do this.
November 23, 2021: see comments at this post. Reader raised question, out of the blue, about Democrat nominees, 2024. One reader suggested strongly it would be Biden/Harris again. Watching a video on the day he opened the SPR revealed a president so incredibly old and tired. He has not yet had a major challenge that required immediate action. The pressure of the presidency is said to be crushing. It will be interesting to see if we start seeing "comparison" videos starting next year. But today, for the first time, he looked much, much worse than I have ever seen him. He won't run for re-election.
